Party in Our City!!!
We took YaYa to Yo Gabba Gabba Live! today... It was so amazing to see her favorite characters en vivo. YaYa was a bit awestruck in the beginning but it didn't take long before she was breaking it down and singing the words to her favorite songs. It was great to get out of the house and give her some one on one. She had a great time as did Ty and I. We might have actually enjoyed it just as much or more than she did. The Gosselins loves DJ Lance Rock and his Dancey Dance friends... Enjoy the pics! Yooooooooooo Gabba Gabbaaaaaaa!

Bringing Home Pippa...
Pippa Gosselin November 22, 2010 2:40pm
YaYa brought her sister a rose. She couldn't wait to see baby.
There they are. YaYa and Pippa forever.
Pippa and GiGi
Daddy and his girls. With Buela.
Granny came from Mountain View, AR
On November 22, 2010 at 2:40pm we welcomed an 8 lb. 19in. babygirl into our world. Pippa Gosselin came very quickly. She was ready. Mom labored 4 hours and with 4 swift pushes she was here. It's magical to meet your baby for the first time. Even for the second time! All I could think when I saw her was how beautifully big she was. I also couldn't wait for YaYa to arrive to meet her little sister, to nurse them together, to be in the presence of my little girls. It was pure magic. Daddy was great as usual. I feel like I need his emotions in times like those. He reminds me of the love involved in the making of these moments.
Pippa has been home for almost three weeks now. She is a good little baby. Incredibly strong and eats with much gusto. In the good sense, she is a little fighter. I call her PippaDukes as she always has her dukes up. It's sweet because in every ultrasound she had her hands in front of her face. Even now it still comforts her.
YaYa is a great big sister. Always wants to give her sister the paci, is happy to share "nunna" with her anytime. Most people think I am crazy to tandem nurse. It's taboo to nurse a 22 month old and even more bizarre to nurse a newborn alongside a toddler. But it's so natural. YaYa rubs her sisters arm as they nurse. She welcomed her instantly.
When I realized that I was pregnant many things naturally came to mind. It wasn't until someone mentioned to me that I was going to have to wean YaYa that I was faced with a huge divide in my heart. I wasn't ready to wean her and neither was she. I felt heartbroken. I couldn't even bear to think of it. She was still my baby and we both mutually enjoyed our nursing relationship. I quickly hit up the web for all the information I could find on breastfeeding during pregnancy. I found solace on the La Leche League website as well as Dr. Sears. I successfully nursed YaYa through my entire pregnancy up until the morning before I left for the hospital. It was difficult for sure, painful even at times but incredibly worth it.
We are now settling into a good breastfeeding routine. I truly believe that YaYa's transitioning and acceptance of her sister has much to do with the fact that I didnt wean her when she wasn't ready. Her comfort and security remained as it was with a sweet little addition. I hope just one person will read this post and be opened to the idea of tandem nursing. It's definitely difficult at times and requires much of you physically but I believe it is a great foundation for lifelong sibling relationship. It is also loaded with health benefits for both newborn and nursling. Here are three great links that helped me immensely along the way...
