And we're back in business...

It has been awhile since I last blogged. A lot has happened since then as well. YaYa is running all over talking up a storm. She had her first trip to the ER as we had to glue her little forehead back together. Needless to say we have since moved the bookcase in the living room to our bed room. In April we discovered we are pregnant again and are elated to welcome another beautiful babygirl in November!
We are hard at work landscaping our backyard trying to get things just right for a couple free-range chickens and a raised Organic vegetable garden. We are also working on converting our guestroom to a little nursery/bedroom for the girls. YaYa's playroom is missing only a few more items before it is all complete. She loves that little room and most who come to our house seem to agree that it is the coolest room in the house! Still so much work to do on our new house. Don't know if it is still considered new as we have alomst been here a year. Eleven months to be exact!

We are gearing up for a fun-filled trip to West Texas to re-unite with family for a good-ole Catholic wedding. It will also serve as a celebratory trip for Tyler as he recently got promoted at his job. We are very proud of Daddy! Will add photos a little later of our goings on!

We Did It!!!

Tyler and I recently got married in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. It was a beautiful week spent with friends and family. We capped off the week with a blue moon on NYE and beautiful reception on Playacar beach. Friends and family came from all over, the weather was beautiful and the ceviche was fresh. Amazing times were had and memories were made that will definitely last forever. Here are a few pics from the big day!

It was an amazing day that I wish I could live over and over again. There is just something magical about a beach wedding. I highly recommend it! If anyone is the market for a great beach wedding planner email me @ md_mendez@hotmail.com!
I will leave you with one parting photo. Happy New Year and best to you all in 2010!

Jingle All The Way...

We couldn't be more excited about Ya Ya's first Christmas. It's surprisingly warm here in Dallas. And I am pretty sure the weather in Mexico is going to awesome as well. Ty and I have talked about Mexico for Christmas as a tradition and a special way to celebrate our NYE anniversary. Sounds good to me! I really want my kids to grow up visiting Mexico often so that they always know where they hail from. We would also like to visit France once a year as well for the same reason. Being that we are traveling this year we are having a relatively small Christmas as far as gifts are concerned. Here is a little sneak peak into what Ya Ya will be receiving for Christmas!

Totally love this little oven from PB Kids. Definitely wanted to go with a neutral color so that babies to follow can enjoy it as well. Tyler is convinced the next little monster will be a boy. I tell him not to hold his breath. I am just convinced I will be raising a household of girlies!

This little doll is so freaking precious! It sings sweet little songs in Spanish. For her birthday in January we plan on getting her the Abuelito doll to go with it. I just love gifts like these!

Hope all of you and your little ones have a great holiday! Merry Christmas!

Matt Blum Photography

Ya Ya recently shot with Matt Blum, a very popular Dallas photographer. It was a first for both of them. Her first time in front of the camera and Matt's first time shooting a baby. She was playing with her Great Grandma Ya Ya's pearls! Enjoy.

Who We Are, Where We're Going

La Familia Gosselin is a young, new family consisting of myself Monica Mendez, my husband Tyler Gosselin, our beautiful daughter Ya Ya and our beloved Frenchie Lu Lu Guiness. We are excited to start blogging as a family and there isn't a better time for us to start. Ya Ya's first ever Christmas is right around the corner. The day after Christmas we are jetting off to Mexico to celebrate our wedding! 7 sunny days in the Mayan Riviera and Tyler and Ya Ya's first trip out of the country. We will celebrate our matrimony on New Years Eve on Playacar beach and we can't wait to share all the fun photos and stories with our new blogging family. Thanks for reading.
